System & Overview

  • Who can access EBS and what are the supported languages?

Access to EBS is granted to authorized users in breeding programs. It supports multiple languages including English, Spanish and French.

  • What is EBS and why do we use it?

The Enterprise Breeding System (EBS) is a cutting-edge, data-driven digital platform designed to enhance, streamline, and accelerate crop breeding programs worldwide. Developed in collaboration with CGIAR breeding networks and partners, EBS empowers breeders with innovative tools to improve efficiency, decision-making, and impact.

EBS Login

  • What should I do if I forgot my password or can’t log in?

If you are unable to log in to EBS, please follow these steps before submitting a support request:

    Step 1: Perform a quick self-check

    • Ensure you are using the correct browser — preferably Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
    • Confirm that you are logged in to the email account associated with your registered EBS account.
    • Verify that you are accessing the correct EBS instance.
    • If you are not yet an EBS member but wish to explore the system, please request access through EBS Service Desk or send an email at su*****@******************an.net.

    Step 2: Recover your account

    • If you have verified the above and still cannot log in, use the “Forgot Password” link on the EBS login page to reset your password.
    • Alternatively, you may submit a request ticket via the EBS Service Desk for assistance in restoring your account access.
  • How do I access EBS?

You can only access the EBS if your name and email address are already registered in the system. If you’re not sure if your account is already made, contact the person in charge of registering EBS accounts in your organization. Once your account is secured, only then can you log in. For the step-by-step process of logging in, you may refer to this guide.

User Access & Accounts

  • How do I request a user account or access rights in EBS?

Typically you submit a request via EBS Support Desk or email to su*****@******************an.net as a general inquiry. Once approved, you receive login credentials and the appropriate permissions based on your role (e.g., breeder, data manager, collaborator, or service provider).
