Breeding Analytics (BA) October 2025 Highlights

ARM-BIOFLOW Integration

Phenotypic Analytics (PA) updates enhance reliability and clarity by ensuring analysis requests close correctly and enabling smooth, error-free processing of BLUP and BLUE estimates across EBS and Bioflow.

Analysis Request Status Now Updates Correctly

Users now see analysis requests automatically switch to “Closed” once all jobs finish—no more delays or stuck statuses.

✅ BLUP Estimates Now Process Without Errors

Analyses containing BLUP and BLUE values now run smoothly, with improved error handling and clearer logs for troubleshooting.

Analysis Request Manager (ARM)

Analysis Request Manager (ARM) updates ensure reliable submissions, smooth navigation, stable data views, and faster genotype retrieval.

Smoother SOA Results Table Interaction

Residuals table no longer refresh unexpectedly, “Go to page” works properly, and scrolling issues have been resolved.

✅ Analysis Requests Now Submit Correctly (Long Names Supported)

Users can now submit analysis requests even with long experiment or occurrence names, with validation fixed across EBS and Bioflow.

✅Automatic Redirect After Single-Occurrence Analysis (SOA) Submission Restored

  • After submitting a SOA request, users are now properly redirected back to the ARM Main Data Browser as expected.

  • Cancel actions across Single-Occurrence Analysis (SOA), Multi-Occurrence Analysis (MOA), and Time Series also work consistently.

✅Improved Handling of Long Experiment or Occurrence Names

The system fully supports long experiment names or occurrence names during randomization and analysis request creation.

✅Time-Series Export Now Works

Users can now download Time-Series Analysis results without failures or missing export files.

✅Improved Genotype Retrieval via New POST Endpoints

Genotype searches are now faster, more accurate, and more stable across QC/QA, Parental Purity, and F1 Verification workflows.

Phenotypic Data Manager (PDM)

Phenotypic Data Manager (PDM) updates enhance data visibility by providing sortable traits and clearly identifying invalid values.

Sorting Enabled in PDM Traits Table

Users can now sort traits alphabetically or by numeric statistics like mean and variance—making data review faster.

✅Bad Values Count Now Displayed

A new “Bad Values” column shows how many invalid values each trait has, helping users quickly identify data quality issues.

Statistical Design Models (SDM)

Statistical Design Models (SDM) enhancements improve accuracy and ease of use by applying updated validation rules, simplifying file uploads, increasing design flexibility, and providing clearer guidance—ensuring more reliable trial setup and consistent randomization results across the system.

✅ Updated BA Database Rules Now Reflected in System

Users benefit from more accurate data validation, removal of unnecessary warnings, and corrected rules for range and sBlk values.

✅ Automatic Entry Type & Role Handling in File Uploads

Entry type and role are now filled in automatically during uploads. Files with missing or blank columns still upload, with helpful warnings.

✅ Flexible Row Selection in P-rep Layouts

Users can now pick any valid number of field rows for P-rep designs, offering greater control and flexibility.

✅ Enhanced Alpha Lattice UI with Controlled sBlk Option

The sBlk option is now visible for clarity but safely disabled during randomization to ensure correct design generation.

✅ Updated BA Configuration & Documentation

Users now rely on clearer input rules, better validation logic, and more consistent behavior across design scripts.

✅ Better Validation for Unspecified Designs in Randomization

Validation checks are now complete and accurate for unspecified design trials under sparse testing.

Breeding Analytics Platform (BAP)

Breeding Analytics Platform (BAP) updates improve clarity and traceability by adding a visible Program column across key analytics views, optimized for consistent and readable display across devices.

Program Column Added to PDM and ARM SOA

  • Users now see the Program column in PDM, ARM SOA, and ARM TS—improving traceability and consistency across modules.

  • Column width has been optimized for readability on different devices.

⚠️Breeding Analytics Known Limitations

BA Known Limitations – October Overview highlights current system constraints affecting complex trial designs, large datasets, advanced filtering, and performance under heavy loads. These limitations help set clear expectations while ongoing improvements continue to enhance stability, scalability, and feature completeness across the platform.

  • Limited validation for complex or uncommon trial designs.

  • Large files or deeply layered designs may impact performance.

  • Genotype data retrieval may slow under heavy loads.

  • Advanced PDM filtering and multi-column sorting not yet available.

  • ARM tables may load slowly with large datasets.

  • Non-standard file formats may still require manual validation.

  • Not all Alpha Lattice and P-rep variations are fully supported.

  • Program column alignment across sources is still being finalized.
