EBS and the Genotyping Service Laboratory, both belonging to the CGIAR Breeding Resources, shared a booth at the Trade Hall, where they exhibited their products and services.
Jahzeel Ramos Calosa (IT Senior Manager), May Ann Sallan (Data Management Lead), and Ruth Erica Carpio (Project Coordinator) welcomed over 300 guests interested in EBS during the four-day event.
Visitors were from various IRRI hubs, National Agricultural Research and Extension Systems (NARES) partners, local and foreign universities, and private and public institutions. Previous Breeding4Rice users and future EBS users also visited the booth located at the Trade Show grounds, where interactive games and exclusive EBS merchandise could be won. Brochures and posters were also given away as souvenirs.
Aligned with the 6th IRC’s theme of Accelerating Transformation of Rice-Based Food Systems: From Gene to Globe, EBS also envisions faster breeding cycles and more informed breeding decisions through a single, powerful, and cloud-based data management solution tailored for the demands of a modern breeding enterprise.
