Version 5.6 is still usable, but some users may have auto-updated their app. To ensure a smooth data collection experience using the new version of Field Book, make sure that you uncheck the “New BrAPI Import UI”. Find this by going to Settings > Experimental > Alpha. You can also choose to display all the plots of an occurrence with more than 2500 plots by going to Settings > BrAPI > Advanced > Page Size = 100.
Breeding team members can now better collaborate as they collect data from the field. The Field Book app’s sync feature enables a data collector to quickly send newly collected plot trait data to EBS, so that another data collector from the same team can then import the updated version of the occurrence to the Field Book app and accurately continue where the latter left off.
Please take note that, as of now, only <500 collected plot trait data can be exported from Field Book and sent to EBS at each time. Rest assured that this limit will be improved soon.
Harvest labels can now be directly printed from DC’s Post Harvest tool to your designated printer, such as SATO WS412. EBS administrators, data managers, or regular users will need to set up the printer and the web browser before this feature can be used.
View the setup instructions here.
To accommodate specific use cases, the restriction in uploading trait data, e.g., yield, to crosses that were already harvested has been removed. The committed trait/s can then be viewed in the Cross Manager and Harvest Manager data browsers.
It is easier to navigate and populate the Post Harvest data fields using the tab key, which now skips all disabled data fields. After providing the plot ID, the cursor also moves to the first data field open for input. Finally, the form is automatically cleared after you save the plot trait data, so you can easily type the next plot ID.
You can now customize how you view the Plot subtab using the Personalized Grid Settings icon on the toolbar. Simply drag-and-drop the traits you wish to show or hide.
viewing suppressed value/s in the plot and summary subtabs after suppressing by rule,
viewing the data browser, such that COMMITTED transactions do not have the QC icon enabled,
using moisture meters connected to the Post Harvest feature, such that the value reflected is correct,
compute for PLOT_AREA_DSR_SQM in rice programs,
quickly revise the trait values in the Plot subtab via bulk update,
exporting >500 collected plot trait data from Field Book to EBS, and
uploading field book files, such that date data will only be tagged as UPDATED if the value is new regardless of the format.
