Philippine Rice Research Institute’s Department of Agriculture adopts EBS
Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija — A week-long Enterprise Breeding System (EBS) training was held at the Department of Agriculture Philippine Rice Research Institute (DA-PhilRice) Central Experiment Station (CES) from 20-24 May 2024. A total of 14 participants composed of Science Research Specialists from the Plant Breeding and Biotechnology Division (PBBD), including a data manager and computer programmer, attended the tailored training sessions, which are part of the EBS adoption process as PhilRice transitions to use EBS as its breeding management system.
EBS IS team conducts internal Engineering Capacity-Building Sessions
The Enterprise Breeding System’s (EBS) Internal Services (IS) team conducted Engineering Capacity-Building Sessions from 15-25 January 2024 at the International Rice Research Headquarters (IRRI HQ). The series of sessions was attended by EBS staff based in IRRI HQ, including some colleagues from the Centro Internacional de Mejoramiento de Maíz y Trigo (CIMMYT).
SEA-NARES PH Collaborators explore EBS and more during three-day training workshop
A three-day training workshop on the Enterprise Breeding System (EBS) for Southeast Asia-National Agricultural Research and Extension Systems (SEA-NARES) collaborators was held last November 21-23, 2023, at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna.

The Enterprise Breeding System’s (EBS) Internal Services (IS) team facilitated a workshop on 14 September 2023 at the IKS Commons, IRRI Headquarters to capacitate internal staff as the system is being readied to be migrated to Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
